For auction is my 1963 GMC 1/2 ton pick-up. It's a Tennessee truck and therefore is in extremely solid condition. This truck is complete from the original 305 V6 engine to the GMC radio. The engine does run but would need tuning to get it to run smooth. We've had it running for a short time and it sounds like it's not running on all cylinders and it makes some noise when it gets warm. It has a vintage aftermarket air conditioning unit on it which is kind of neat. The sheetmetal is very solid and straight. There is not rust on the sheetmetal and the only bodywork I can see is behind the passenger side front wheel. Even the wheelwells are very solid with only minor surface rust. The original wood bed is intact and pretty solid. The windshield will need to be replaced as it's cracked. This truck would be an awesome candidate for a restoration. That was my intent when I bought it, but I've come to the fact that I'm not going to have the time in the foreseeable future to get to it. I've seen lots of guys drop a small block chevy in this generation truck. A set of motor mounts is really all it would take. Do a complete restoration or just drop in your current small block, freshen up the brakes and tires and you're on the road. This an extremely solid, all original truck that would make a great canidate for a restoration. This truck is for sale locally as well so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. While this truck does run, it doesn't run well so don't expect to drive this home. It hasn't been on the road in probably 10 years so it will need to be trailered. The tires are pretty dry rotted so I would not dolly this too far. The interior is complete. Dash and gauges are there and intact... even has a clock! Dash and doors have been painted black. Seat appears to be original but has been re-covered. Fuel tank appears to be in excellent condition. Hood appears to be in great condition. Front grille is in decent shape but does have a spot that has been tweaked. Front bumper has minor surface rust. Tailgate has no rust and is straight aside from one small dent near the top. I believe the transmission is orginal and I honestly don't know if it moves or not, I haven't tried it as we've only had it running for a few minutes in the year that I've owned it. The title is clear and it's a Tennessee title. I never transferred it to my name. I will provide a bill of sale to the purchaser. Wood bed is pretty solid but is far from perfect, I'm sure it's original wood. Lastly, the passenger door glass has a crack so you may want to replace that eventually.
