Selling one gorgeous 1970 Cadillac Convertible. Red Exterior, White Interior. I purchased this car in 1998 for $12,000 and have invested $$$ with all the receipts. Always maintained, always garaged. Never a mechanical issue. Clean title. Has started and driven clean since the day I purchased it. Used with kids in parades and fair weather driving around town. The car has been driven from the San Francisco Bay Area on long road trips, including to Las Vegas. Drive it anywhere in the USA, no problem. You won't be able to go a single block without waves, whistles, and head turns. Has all the options - power steering, power windows, power seats, power convertible top, etc. If you are looking at this listing, you know this is the top of the line, best color combo cadillac that rolled new off the assembly line in the summer of '69. Others claim to be original red / white but do your homework on the correct body tag codes!!! Many have been repainted red and/or swapped interiors to white. This Cadillac is an orignal, matching numbers car, with correct color codes from the factory. Original body color is San Mateo Red and interior is white from the factory, along with factory white top. This color combination includes a correct red dash, carpet and seat belts. Picture of the body plate is included. Codes as follows: 70 = 1970 68367 = Style number for Cadillac Deville Convertible. "6" for Cadillac, "83" for Deville, "67 for Convertible. 354 = "White Leather, Red Carpteting, Bench Seat". 74 = Exterior paint code color for "San Mateo Red". I will add some information from those exchanges: - I have added more pictures to the auction showing under the hood, in the trunk, under the car, and of the interior. - I believe this is an original California car but do not have factory documentation to that effect, so I did not include it in my initial description. When I purchased the car, the paperwork came with a name, address, and old Emporium (clothing store) credit card from the 70's with the name of Mr. and Mrs. R F Zimmerman from Tiburon, California. I will include this with the winning bid. - I believe the 56,792 odometer reading to be accurate as to original mileage. Again, I have no way to verify this as I am not the original owner. When I purchased the car in 1998 it had 32,595 miles on it and I was told that was original mileage at the time. I have put 24,000 documented miles on the car over the last 14 years, or about 140 miles per month. That pretty much averages out to a weekend cruise around town and a few escapes to Napa and San Francisco every year. - Yes, the car has a rare and elusive right side rear view mirror. - Yes, the air conditioning works as of the last time I ran it. I had it charged when I bought the car, but haven't turned it on in years as I only drive it with the top down. - Yes, the high beams work fine. - The stereo is factory original. Static comes out of the speaker system and I've never bothered to check into it as I don't listen to the radio while driving. The dash hasn't been cut or chopped to refit a new stereo as it is still the original unit. - This is an accident-free car. Not a single bumper clip or door ding since I have owned it. - The windows seal to each other when rolled up, and up against the convertible top just fine. - 1970 was the last year Cadillac built a Deville convertible. - The parade boot is included. - The car does not have Twilight Sentinel. However, I purchased a Twilight Sentinel unit and will include that for the winner of the auction. I have been told this was a dealer installed option in addition to a factory option, so that installing the unit would still be correct for the car. - I will not end the auction early. Easy fix but I never bothered because I don't speed while driving her around. - The tail lights, blinkers, and back up lights all work. - The clock does not work. I have yet to see an original one on these cars that does. - The hood and trunk springs work fine and keep them open. - The hydrolics powering the convertible top have been replaced and work great. - The horn works great and sounds like a freight train!
