Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1986 Suzuki RM125, complete bike. Bought it at an auction, told it has a new top end. Crankcase has no cracks, holds oil. Antifreeze has no cracks, but drained. Cylinder looks resleeved, or honed, new piston, new sprocket, and chain. Did not try to run it. Lower end is tight, seems good. Rims, tires are like new. Plastics scratched, but in good condition, all of them are there. As is, no title pickup only. On the east side of Cincinnati. Nice bike in general. On Oct-14-12 at 17:16:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add a couple of comments to the description because I have been getting a lot of questions about the bike's run ability. I bought the bike at an auction, I was told it has a new top end, sure enough the piston and cylinder look new. I have not tried to start it because I do not know enough about these two stroke bikes and I know if you get the oil-fuel mixture incorrect you can do major damage to the engine. My intent was to fix it up over the winter but honestly I just don't have the time. I have completed the following: pulled the cylinder and checked out the piston and cylinder walls. Piston is new and has never been fired, the cylinder looks re-sleeved or honed. Put in a new spark plug and it does have spark. Pulled the carb and dropped the bowl and it was clean, drained all the antifreeze and there were no leaks. Checked the play in the rod and bottom end and there is no play so I think that is in fine working condition. Crankcase holds oil and there are no leaks, compression seems low but like I said I do not know what it supposed to feel like and could be rings (I was told that by a friend). I am selling this as a project bike or a parts bike and I am being honest as I can about the condition. It seems to be complete, the kick start and shift lever are fine and not stripped. Tank holds gas but it has been drained, shocks feel good and the brakes are there but may need to be bled to work correctly. Tires and rims look like new, sprocket and chain are new. Seat is good and has a small tear about 1" down by the side cover (hard to even see). Feel free to E-mail questions and I will post all answers - thanks.
