Vehicle Detail
I bought this Riviera from the original owner 4 years ago. I have the original title to prove it and the 70000 miles on the odometer are original. I have driven this car every week since I bought it. On the highway, in the city, I even drove it to Boston and back. The car is so comfortable we only stopped for gas. It rides and drives like it came off the showroom floor last year. No squeaks, no rattles. Drives and brakes perfectly straight. Front end is solid and tight, no drifting or slopiness. Mechanically it is flawless. The 5.7 liter 350ci engine hums and the front wheel drive makes it handle beautifully on wet and snow. Transmission shifts smooth. Pick up is strong and consistent with no hesitations. Absolutely EVERYTHING works inside and out. Every bulb, switch, control. Power steering, Power brakes, Power seats, Power trunk, Cruise control, AC with brand new compressor, it all works with the exception of the power antenna. The power antenna motor is only 40 bucks but I did not want to remove the fender to change the motor so I settled for the antenna in the up position. Even the original radio and 8 track work and sounds great. The following has been replaced with new parts since I have owned the car: Brakes Shocks -- adjustable air in back Springs Upper and lower ball joints Tie rods Control arms Drive shafts and boots Cruise Transducer Radiator and fan AC compressor Starter Fuel pump Heater core Tires Headliner The car was repainted the original color by the original owner prior to selling the car. The paint job is not top flight and it would probably receive point deductions at a car show but it looks very nice. Bumper fillers and bumpers guards were all replaced as well. Chrome is perfect with no pitting or rust. You will note in the picture of the door lock knob that the interior vinyl upper door panel has sun burnt spots. There is not way to cure this other than to replace the vinyl panel. I have every receipt for all the work listed above. I also have the original build sheet and owner's manual. You will love driving and owning this car. I am losing my indoor parking spot and it is killing me to sell her. Looking for a kind and caring owner who appreciates the best of the 80s American classics. Feel free to call me at 630-774-0300 with any questions. I also have 20 more pics I can send if you wish.
