1973 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. This a very original, unmolested car. Would make a great winter project for someone. This car needs a lot of work, but is a good solid place to start. Everything for this car can be bought on-line. The car runs rough, I had a local VW expert check it out for me and he thinks that it has a burnt or stuck valve in one of the cylinders. It does run and move. The clutch feels good, the brakes are good, the tires are good. The interior is in good shape, but the seat tracks are bad and the glove box door is missing one half of it's hinge. The wiring to the ignition switch is loose, so you need to reach behind it and hold the wires to get it to work. I think the car has about 54K original miles. There is a sticker on the door jam that says at 28K miles, the odometer was rolled back to zero. This car has a lot of the original shipping documents and sales documents. The first owner was a Charles Norris......HMMM.. LOL I may be willing to deliver locally/regionally for an additional expense. Check with me first to make sure I will go that distance before assuming I will. Car is located in Rockton Illinois.
