2001 Ford Mustang Cobra - FOR SALE I am selling my 2001 Cobra as some major life changes are on the way and I sadly no longer have time or resources or to work on this vehicle. This car was a faithful daily driver thru college and has mostly seen garage time since graduation and moving to Michigan. The car has 74026 "Southern", rust-free miles on in. I've put less than 1000 miles on the car in the 2 years I've lived in Michigan. From what I can tell, I'm the second owner of the car and have owned it since 2005. Modifications: Hooker Long Tube Headers Mac Prochamber mid-pipe Borla Catback exhaust Cold Air Intake Comp Cams - Grind: XE270AH-114 (Intake Lift: .475 ; Dur @ .050: 234) (Exhaust Lift: .450 ; Dur @ .050: 232) Comp Cam Valve Springs Tuned in August 2009 - Houston Performance in Houston, TX 275/40R17 2003 Cobra Wheels - all 4 corners Exterior: Paint/Body has some small dints and dings in it. Paint color is very rich and clean. I used to show this car throughout college and the paint has seen regular claying, waxing, and polishing. This car is one clay bar and wax job away from bringing out the paint's true brilliance again. Interior: Shows pretty normal wear and tear, however Leather/Alcantara seats show little wear, especially the passenger and rear seats, which were very rarely used. Underbody: It was a southern car its whole life. Rust free. Chassis: Unfortunately I hit a curb in the first week I moved to Michigan after hitting a slick patch of road. The curb impact was to the LF corner of the vehicle. The alignment was knocked out and an intermittent Air Bag light goes off and on as a result. The car is driveable but could use a some service if the alignment is to be corrected again. Engine: I was going to attempt a head swap (2003 Cobra heads) before other plans changed my priorities. I suspect there is a head gasket leak hence the planned head work. The engine is driveable today, but could use some TLC to get it back to perfect order. It is running a Diablo chip and tune from Houston Performance. Dyno data from that day is 345Hp / 321 lb-ft. Summary: This is a much loved car that still has many years left in it. It is driveable today, however it could use some simple repairs and TLC to get it back into to tip-top shape. On Oct-11-12 at 18:53:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Clarification: Just to clarify, I've received some emails with questions about the nature of the car: The front end does require some service / repairs before it can be re-aligned. Some parts will have to be replaced (i.e possibly the strut, mounts, or K-member) and will need to be serviced by a front end/alignment shop to ensure the components are all fixed or replaced. The engine issue is what it is. I don't know what the issue is with it as I have not investigated the issue further. Most importantly - the car is driveable right now but needs work.
