Vehicle Detail
Thinking about a cool low-mileage classic car that has been well-maintained by it's original female professional owner? This bright red 1984 T-Bird attracts lots of attention everywhere it goes! People are amazed at the condition and the low mileage (it just clicked over 62,000) until they hear that it was stored in a heated underground garage for most of its life. The car regularly does weekly commutes from Annapolis, MD to Wilmington Delaware. It loves being on the highway. Due to the fact that we needed a reliable, safe car for that kind of driving, we have maintained her running condition meticulously. We have installed new tires (Kumhos... less than 3k miles), new master cylinder and other brake parts, etc... whatever it needed to be a safe roadworthy car. We have all the bills. All the power equipment works... windows, seats, mirrors, all work fine. Just had both power window mechanisms replaced. It has a big 6 cylinder engine with plenty of power and has throttle body fuel-injection. Starts great and runs smooth. It has a key-lock theft deterrent system. A key fits into a lock on the front fender outside of the car. So it would be very apparent if someone was trying to steal it. We just bought a nice Grand Marquis and don't need both cars. The only bad things we can think are: it has a habit of stalling at lights... mostly in hot weather with the a/c on. We just had her serviced and a new throttle sensor module thing was installed. That helped a little, but you still have to be careful. The headliner glue has dried out and we have re-glued it; but if you want it to look nice, I would have it replaced. There is one very old small cigarette burn in the drivers seat.It has a few small rust areas around the window trim (see pics). It has been treated with Ospho and is not spreading. One section of the side rub strip curled out a few years back. We did not do anything about it.Somebody dinged the front right turn signal lens... see pic So, if you want a dependable classic car that won't cost you a lot to keep on the road. This is a great choice. We can deliver the car within reason and depending on scheduling. ITS THAT GOOD!!!
