1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 (real one) done up as an Eliminator clone. Just about everything other than the motor and 9" rear end has been rebuilt. Almost every interior and trim piece has been refurbished or replaced with nicer original ford parts It has the original matching numbers 351 Cleveland 2v heads(4barrel intake and carb now) and rebuilt FMX trans (5 yrs ago), 9" rear with 2.79 factory gears. 2 1/2" Flowmaster Exhaust with polished tips , detailed engine bay, clean undercarriage, completely redone brand new Black interior, Trunk is completely detailed, new stereo with pioneer speakers in the rear package tray, triple chrome plated show bumpers, all trim is beautiful, new windshield, original 1968 GT Cougar styled steel wheels ( I like the chrome better than the argent grey) , new 1970 running cougar center caps, new lug nuts, Brand new BF Goodrich T/A radial tires, all new brake system including new lines, master,calipers,booster and rotors, new Holley strip dominator intake, new Holley 650 cfm carb.,new air cleaner, new finned Ford Racing valve covers, new rad. hoses and rad cap, everything works but the wipers the switch is bad and has factory or dealer installed intermittent wipers, factory or dealer installed cruise control (still there but not hooked up) all new weather strips on the entire car, new gas door reflector, all new 3/8" fuel lines in the factory postion, new fuel pump, New Grant GT steering wheel, sequential lights work absolutely perfect ! Headlight doors work perfectly, crank windows, still has the factory buck tag attached to the core support plus more. This is a factory A/C car but someone removed the compressor /lines/idler pulley and condenser from the car at one point but it was not with the car when I bought it 2 years ago, the compressor motor bracket is still there and nothing has been disturbed under the dash, also whoever removed these parts from the car was at least smart enough to cap up the lines at the firewall so it should be clean inside. I imagine it wouldn't take much to put A/C back in the car The original color was Light Ivy Yellow (Dark Green when I bought it see last photo) with a dark green leather interior but was changed to Orange with a light orange/gold flip pearl and black vinyl interior about 1 year ago. This thing glows out in the sun but in the shade just looks bright Orange. It has an aftermarket rear wing, Factory Ford Eliminator scoop ( non funtional), aftermarket front spoiler, aftermarket Eliminator stripes, blacked out tail light and grille area, I bought new headers for the car but never got to install them ( they come free with the car ) Lower Torque boxes and D/S floor pan have been cut our and replaced. It is not flawless by any means, this WAS NOT a frame off restoration but pretty close. If it was, the price would be alot higher ! Just finished up. I haven't had insurance or tags on the car since it was completed. It has only been driven around my neighborhood, not on the main roads yet so may require some minor tuning after tagged and insured. I only accept paypal as my method of payment or cash in person, all transportation and any other fees from your end are your responsability and are not included in the final sale price of the car. Last chance On Oct-05-12 at 16:07:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Please do not pay attention to the radio bezel on the floor and wires hanging out of the dash, that was the day the radio was being installed. It is in the car now and works great. Trans was rebuild 5 years ago and then the car was parked in a warehouse until I bought it last year, then it was kept in my garage. Motor has 96,000 original miles on it and has never been out of the car or taken apart other than putting the 4v intake on it and valve covers, runs great, very quiet motor for the mileage, pulls hard, and strong, great power for its age. Great driving car, very smooth riding ( what a cruiser), steering is like butter ! Whoever ends up with it will be very happy !! I have decided to drop the buy it now and reserve price one last time to get this car sold, hopefully this will do it !! I will be out of town from this Sunday Oct 7th until Sunday Oct 14th. There have been WAY TOO MANY problems with small items going over seas and Canada for me to have to deal with a vehicle getting all messed up too. If you live over seas and have to own this vehicle, get someone from the US to buy the car for you and then get the shipping done yourself.
