Up for auction is the legendary Triumph Spitfire. This car has been in storage for the past six years. I bought this car in Los Angeles while on a job assignment with the intention of restoring it. I’ve been away on assignments most to the time since then and the car has been in storage waiting for me to get enough free time to deal with it. It was running when I put it in the garage and it hasn’t been run since. The fuel is stale and the battery is dead so I can’t confirm that it will still run well without putting time into it which I don’t have right now. So I’m selling it so someone can get some enjoyment out it. Everything was working when I parked it. It does need a better paint job but it is essentially rust free. My garage has a dehumidifier in it so its been kept dry. It’s equipped with a Weber 45 DCEF carb, header system, Monsa exhaust, four speed with overdrive. The seats are in great condition, about 90% of the tread on the tires, extra tires, hard top, soft top, and tonneau cover. I had replaced the fuel pump just before parking it and there is an additional electric fuel pump, also new. This is a no reserve auction and since it’s a collectable item I’m selling it as is. Everything worked when I parked it. Keep in mind these cars use a significant amount of Lucas parts including the wiring harness so it's not unusual to have something come and go.
