VEHICLE DESCRIPTION Engine Performance The Audi S4, built on the B6-platform, is equipped with a monstrous engine. Shoehorned into the front of the S4 is a 40-valve, dual overhead camshaft (DOHC), 4.2-liter V-8 engine. The setup is good for producing 340 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 302 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm. Track Performance The mighty V-8 engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission that passes the power to all four wheels through Audi's permanent all-wheel drive technology--quattro. The standard 18-inch wheels were wrapped in sticky ZR-rated tires. The entire combination resulted in a 0 to 60 mile per hour (mph) time of 5.3 seconds. Cabriolet models were heavier and had slightly slower acceleration Fuel Economy Audi found a way to make a high-performance V-8 sports car that weighed upwards of 4,178 pounds and operated at peak performance with acceptable fuel economy. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provided the Audi S4 B6 with an estimated 15 to 18 mpg city and 21 to 24 mpg highway. Safety The Audi S4 has many of the standard features that you would expect from a luxury sports car: dual front airbags, seat-mounted front side airbags,and side curtain airbags. These standard safety features allowed the 2004 Audi S4 to excel in crash test trials. Front-impact crash tests gave the S4 a 4 out of 5 rating for the driver and passenger, and side-impact crash tests gave a 5 out of 5 rating for front occupants, and a 4 out of 5 for rear occupants. VEHICLE CONDITION/HISTORY Clean title Carfax reported minor front damage. No signs of any structure damage. Only cosmetic Oil changed regularly with castrol syntec Very little paint blemishes. Two small scratches shown in pictures below. Few Small rock chips on front of hood. Very smooth, clean, shiney paint. Washed and waxed weekly. No rust Super clean interior...even the white suede! (cleans easily) Every thing works like new Only thing broken is center consol lid hinge. Can be replaced for about $30 ***Stereo has been replaced and still needs Security code (dealer can scan for it)*** Engine performs great. Cam chain tensioner has been replaced Transmission is smooth Clutch still grabs hard or smooth Drivetrain and brakes perfect. It is either sell the car or drop out of school and pick up another job. The car is a great car and I love it to death but I cannot choose a car over my future. NOTE: the fuel pump went out sept 13th. It was sent to tilton's automotive in columbus, ohio where it had a brand new oem fuel pump replaced. The car does have an exhaust hanger that is loose underneath but does not affect the performance. Also, the a/c needs to be recharged. It went out at the beginning of this month but since it stays cool now, I really was just going to overlook it until next spring. Heat works great. Other than that the car has absolutely no issues, no check engine lights, and only minor dings. The interior has absolutely no rips or tears in it at all. The white alcantera is not brand new looking and does show some age but it is nothing that a detailer couldn't clean up in a very short time.
