1987 MERCEDES BENZ 300TD TURBO DIESEL WAGON Up for auction is a beautiful 1987 Mercedes 300 TD turbo diesel. This 300TD is in very good condition. I purchased this recently and then decided to move to a rural location and ended up needing a truck. So I will very reluctantly sell this sweet MB wagon. It has tons of features; power everything, including radio antenna, seats, windows, locks, sunroof. It has the 3rd row seat that folds up from the floor of the cargo area. Carpet and seats are in good shape. I purchased a new battery, a black carpet dash cover (although the dash is in good shape with no cracks). Two new maintenance manuals & an all season car cover. It comes with an additional 4 Mercedes rims with hardly used Michelin snow tires. Also has heavy duty Mercedes rubber floor mats throughout, including the cargo area. The man I bought the car from was a life-long Mercedes collector. He switched out the original engine with one with the better, sought after head. According to him, the actual mileage on the current engine is about half of the odometer reading. He didn't have the exact numbers for me. He also had a bunch of other Mercedes vehicles and all of them were in excellent condition, superbly maintained and driven responsibly. There aren't any other vehicles like the 1987 300TD. MB only made this configuration for one year. Known as one of the best diesel engines ever. Parts and service are not hard to come by. But you probably already know all about the '87 300TD legend. There are a few areas of carpet that have some small marks and a small plastic piece at the base of the driver's seat is loose. This is a 25 year old vehicle so there are some cosmetic flaws inside and out. But over all, this car looks great. No rust at any of the jack points. I looked at many of these before I bought this one and never saw any other in this condition. Let alone with the silver/burgundy color scheme. Everyone who sees it has a hard time believing that it's a 1987!
