A 1964 Chevrolet Malibu SS 2 door convertible. This project car needs a complete restoration, and is a significant undertaking. However, the trim tag and VIN tag are still attached to the car. Trim tag is on firewall, and is still attached with original rivets. VIN tag is still in original location. VIN is 45867 A 155521. The trim tag info is as follows: Style: 64-5867A Body No.: 1779 Trim: Medium Metallic Blue Imitation Leather, white convertible top Paint: 916 Daytona Blue Car is an original V8, appears to be a manual transmission car, but cannot verify this. Does not have an engine or transmission. Steering column is also missing, but steering linkage is intact. Car has a complete frame, and is a rolling project. The car does not have a title (Alabama doesn’t title cars this old). Buyer will get a notarized bill of sale. The trunk and passenger compartment floor is rusty, and the car will need significant restoration. The frame appears to be solid (it was undercoated). This project car comes with a trunk lid, both doors, front fenders (from a Chevelle) and assorted inner fender / panels. The car does not have a hood, and the car has no interior or glass, except windshield. The convertible top frame is still with the car, and does move (not frozen up). Car is located in North Alabama (Huntsville area) and can be inspected during the auction period BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Most times will have to be weekdays after 5 pm, or anytime on weekends. A $250 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction ending. The car must be paid for and picked up within 7 days of auction ending, unless prior arrangements have been made.
