What is for sale here? For your consideration: a low mileage unmolested 1970 Cadillac Eldorado. I am selling this car because I am changing focus in life and am selling off some of my toys. There is a very modest reserve in place; it is much less than the buy it now option; please bid what you can afford and think is appropriate.Clear blue Texas title in my name. What sets this 1970 Eldorado apart from the others out there? This Cadillac has 28K original careful miles, I am the second owner. Straight, original, complete, rust and collision free. All electric functions work well, the stereo sounds really good, windows are fast, etc. The car drives solid, tight, reliably, and sure footed. This car has never given a lick of trouble! Perfect leather interior, factory original and clean engine, and trunk compartments, nice chrome, except exterior rear view mirror could stand re-plated due to light chrome imperfections. Also, this car is loaded; power windows, power locks, power seat, cruise control, auto headlight dimmer plus twilight sentinel, telescoping steering wheel, AM/FM stereo, plus factory Cadillac under dash 8 track. Yes, the HVAC system works perfectly, and the AC will freeze you to death-even here in Texas. Condition: The buy it now represents a bargain-I paid 12k for the car and spent over 8k having every single thing gone through: windows, locks cleaned and lubed to work lightning fast, brakes gone through-master cylinder, wheel cylinders, lines, bearings repacked, fuel system-rebuilt carbureator, new fuel pump, etc-starts, idles and runs like 1970. New complete exhaust, tires, battery, cables, starter and alternator rebuilt. All the tune up items, fluids, filters, clean gas tank, replace sending unit, replace water pump, flush cooling system, rebuilt radiator, serviced trans, rebuilt the HVAC system (over 3k alone-no stone unturned), hoses, belts, tires, etc, etc. I am a collector and a fanatic. I have sold several of my collector cars on ebay; if you doubt my sincerity, read my feedback, or refrain from bidding. I know the pictures are not very good-we are having a rainy weekend-and I did not want to pull it out of the garage. The car is spectacular out in the bright sunshine. The color of this particular Eldorado is called "cinnamon fire mist," and is quite striking on a sunny day. The car wears its factory finish-with no rust issues. On close inspection, imperfections are apparent in the paint-they did not show up in the photos, but any original 1970 paint job will have imperfections. This car is a time capsule-I would not repaint. It does look perfect from 5 feet. The performance: This car is a revelation on the open road-a fighter jet! I did not take glamour pictures, nor am I going to write an elaborate BS laden story about the value of collector cars being in color, blah, blah. This Eldorado is very competent in modern traffic. Life is short, you must own a 1970 Eldorado at least once...own one of the best out there! In closing: Bid with confidence to own this beautiful car, from a time when America really built cars. This is the highly collectible 400 horse power, 500 cubic inch 1970 Cadillac Eldorado, a historic, powerful and significant car. I don't know if you will find another with this low mileage and thoroughly sorted out. You could fly in and drive this car to Canada.
