I stumbled across this R100Rs on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. It had not been licensed or ridden much for years but was in generally very good condition. I brought it home and redid the Carbs, timing, and installed a new battery and the thing runs and operates great!! It has lots of little scratches and cosmetic blemishes but still presents very well. I was told and I believe that the mileage is correct given the condition of the engine and bike but of course I can't guarantee it. Tires are new-no tool kit-brackets on sides for bags will be removed to put on my other R100RS. I bought one of these new in 1978 at the time I worked for a BMW dealer and have never seen another black one but the paint appears to be original. I'm a trained ex BMW dealer mechanic with my own shop and feel I can make a good judgement on how sound mechanically this bike is. I don't need two identical bikes so this one is for sale.
