If you have a question please call me with any time (845) 987 9267 This is a very rare opportunity, You are bidding on a 1955 Ford F-100 Pick up Truck. It is in excellent condition for its age and is fun to drive NOTE: This F-100 Has been restored; It is NOT entirely original, it has a Chevrolet (sorry ford guys) 5.7L 350 small block paired to a turbo 400 Transmission and a 10 Bolt rear end. DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is this 1955 Ford F-100 Pick up truck. This F100 truck has been well maintained, it has a 5.7L Chevy V8 engine paired to a 3 speed automatic transmission. This truck is very clean for its age, the frame and undercarriage is clean, has no rust issues anywhere in the undercarriage, The body is also very clean, it has a few minor spots where paint is slightly bubbling (will post link with pictures soon) It has new plugs, new wires, It gets oil changes regularly (10-30 Mobil 1). This ford drives very nice however It is very old and handles and drives like a 1950's truck should! The Engine is a 1970 Camaro Engine, The transmission and engine were rebuilt together when the truck was restored within the past 10 years, it has a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor with an automatic choke, headers, straight pipes with Thrush turbo Mufflers, the engine and transmission have approximately 10-15K miles at best. The Paint is in driver condition, its NOT show room, there are a few imperfections (orange peel perhaps) and a few spots where there is bubbling (around the rear window) and lower rear fenders (very very minor size of dime) Please notice that the tailgate and bed have scratches, it is a pick up truck and the rear bed is functional! I have used to a few times to move light furniture and or groceries. The wood in the bed is in decent shape, I was going to clean it up, sand and stain it but never got around to doing it. The rear end is 10 bolt non posi-trac however it still moves and likes to go. The truck will do 70-75 miles per hour on the highway and keep up with traffic no problem. The truck has plenty of power, perhaps too much for its own good. This truck runs beautifully it is strong, starts right up every time (push button start), sounds and idles smoothly and efficiently, The interior is very functional, the bench seat is in excellent condition, the vinyl is in great condition, The speedometer works, however I have disconnected it due to noisy speedometer cable, The heat works (I have the heater core disconnected at the moment due to a minor leak), The fans in the dash work, The stereo system is amazing. Overall the interior is in excellent condition. The interior lights work, all outside lights work, the spot lamp works, turn signals work well, the horn and gas gauge are the only things that do not work. The temperature gauges work, oil pressure and Alternator gauges all work excellent. The trucks rubber floors and floor pans are excellent and aftermarket CD player (works great). It does not leak any fluids, does not consume any fluids. it has an electric cooling fan and upgraded aluminum radiator (see pictures; I have the original Radiator, I will include it in the sale). It is a very basic truck, it does NOT have A/C. It comes from factory without it. The interior is very plain, has manual windows, manual locks manual brakes (drums all around) with boost assist (that means you Dont have to stand on them to slow down). This is a very nice driver, it gets attention from anyone and everyone everywhere it goes. people low to take pictures of it, I have visited a few car shows in the area with it and its always a popular topic of discussion. The "hoover" emblem on the door can be removed, It is only for show and because its vinyl its easy to take off. I have the hub caps for the wheels (center chrome, all 4) which I took off due to preference in look, I have a new mirror for the passenger side door (fell off) I also have a clean clear title ready for the new owner. I Really hate selling the truck because it is truly a joy to drive, very nice condition and is what Ive always wanted, however I have to pursue other ventures and I cannot keep it any longer. (845) 987 9267 Is my cell Known History: Based on some re-search I have done on the past life of the truck, Ot is originally a southern vehicle having been brought up to NY in the late 90's. The truck underwent a restoration, all of the metal looks intact, there appears to be no plaster anywhere on the body however I am not a body man so I cannot grantee that. The previous owner had it 4 years prior to myself, and the owner before Him did the restoration. The truck was stripped down and was completely re-done. It was re-painted red, originally it was olive green. The original Vin plate and build information are still on the glove box door. The gauges were added when it was restored along with the very tastefully added stereo system. It is truly a nice truck all around. (845) 987 9267 Thank you happy bidding. To anyone who is out of state: The truck can sit here at my home safely in its garage for up to a month, maybe more depending on circumstance.
