You are bidding on a VW Vanagon 1982 with a 1.6L 4Cyl Diesel Engine Body: Absolutely no rust. Minor dings, dents and blemishes (this does not affect the overall look of the vehicle). Paint is original with no bodywork done to it, has never had an accident!!! All doors open and close flawlessly, 1 Key for ignition and all locks on vehicle!!! True testament of how well the van has been taken care of since made!! New Windshield and Seals!! Undercarriage has absolutely no rust and still conserves its factory undercoating. Paint: Original Ivory paint. Paint looks glossy all around. Pop-top and luggage have been removed from the vehicle and repainted with the original color code. All the seals on both the pop-top and luggage are new. Pop-top: New Grey Canvas with 3 windows. Exterior: Front Bumper in great shape, Rear Bumper is New, both with new bumper corners (side marker lights are New and German Originals). The rest of the lights are in great shape with no fading. New upper and lower grill. Wheels: Wheels have been balanced. 4 new Tires Radial 185 75 14. 4 expensive and rare lightweight alloy rims, substituting the common stock heavyweight rims. Volkswagen Brand in excellent condition, with no curves or damage of any kind. No chips on paint. Also has all 4 Hub Caps. Lug nuts and bolts are new, as an anti-theft device it has two wheel lock nuts per tire with special key to remove them. Engine: Excellent, Always starts at the first turn, idles smooth, runs great and very efficient, doesn't burn or take any oil. Absolutely no leaks. Head cylinder was rebuilt (New valves, New guides, valve job done on head, New gasket Cylinder [Victor Reinz German], New timing belt, New V-belt, New Oil Filter and oil change, Anti Freeze within specifications Fuel System: 2 Gas Tanks 1 is the original and the extra one was specially designed out of aluminum to be lightweight and fit in a narrow space directly below the slide door, New diesel filter, and New Fuel Hose. Manual Transmission: 4 Speed Excellent Shifts smooth and precise, Fluid is Crystal clear. No noises or weird sounds!!No leaks!! Recently serviced. Clutch: New Clutch Master Cylinder. Suspension and Steering: Excellent ride, feels solid and stable even on the freeway. Brakes: Excellent condition, brake pads and rotors in good condition still 70% left to use. Car stops straight with absolutely no vibrations or noises. Instruments and Warning Lights: All in perfect working condition except for the odometer. All external lights, turn signals, hazard lights, high beams, instrument cluster lights in perfect working condition. Clock is working too! Cooling System: All plumbing (pipes) under chassis in great shape. It has been running on antifreeze since made, the fan works properly. Opens and closes as specifications dictate. Interior: Original Carpet, New upholstery on back seat and Lower Bed. Top bed is in excellent shape. New matching curtains. All Panels were removed from van, stripped of their old wallpaper, and replaced with a new vinyl finish. Headliner in perfect condition with no rips or tears. Sun visors in very good shape. Dashboard in excellent shape, center console in excellent shape with no cracks or scratches. Door panels are in very good condition, rear view mirror in great shape (like new) Working Fridge in great condition, works with 110 connection, car battery or propane. Water tank was removed, cleansed and disinfected. Faucet works properly, New water pump recently installed. Stove also works well. No propane leaks. The Swivel type table top has no cigarette burn or burn of any type, and no cracks. City water connection is operational. The battery and water instrumental measurements are both operational. Both the three-prong outlets and the circuit breaker with a master switch work. Propane Tank: Removed, checked and painted. Miscellaneous: Jack and Wrench included (original). I have the original curtains if you want them. Original owner’s manual, and “Supplement to 1982 Vanagon Owner’s Manual”. 2 Mosquito nets. Car History: I am the second owner of this van, I bought if from a neighbor that passed away last year. He bought it new from the dealer 29 years ago, and he took great care of it ever since. You will NOT be disappointed with this vehicle! It can get up to 40mpg on freeway; it will not devalue over time. Hard vehicle to find especially in these conditions, don’t take it for granted!!!
