Up for auction is a 1950 3/4 ton Chevy truck. I bought this truck in the spring, the previous owner had started the restoration and then decided he would buy one that was done. My plan was to put this on a newer S-10 chassis and make a street rod. After seeing all the work that had been done, to restore it to original, and the fact that all the paint was original. I decided to reassemble it, and sell it, as an original truck in the process of restoration. TRUCK VIDEOS CAN BE VIEWED ON YOU TUBE UNDER CELANE HAUSER http://youtu.be/hZxZeOzG64s New parts include: Wiring harness (front to back needs to be finished.), (see pic) new starter, 6 volt battery, new radiator hoses and fanbelt, new heater hoses, generator looks to have been rebuilt, also new battery cables. The Previous Owner claimed that the engine had been rebuilt, and judging by the way it runs and the cleanliness of the engine, I have no reason to doubt that. The exhaust system is also new, and the rear U-Joint has been replaced. Tires are fair. The brake fluid was low, and i added fluid, but the pedal is weak, so the brakes need some tweaking. The front tires have a shorter sidewall to give a raked look, but the suspension is original and has NOT been altered. The box was in pieces, when i bought the truck. I used 2x3 tubing around the perimeter of the box, and for the cross-braces (SEE PICS) In my opinion it is stronger then it was from the factory. I also did ALL the welding below the bed surface, so it looks like the metal tubing is from the 50's. The box is bolted to the frame with 6 bolts. The bed is 3/4" plywood with aluminum strips. I did NOT treat the plywood with stain or varnish so the lucky owner could decide the look they want. There IS rust by the E-Brake pedal and some on the fenders. Repair it or drive it, as it is. The fuel tank should be cleaned (plugged filter after running for awhile) IS running on auxilary tank in the cab. With a little wiring, break work and some fuel system repairs, this would be a good running/driving truck, in ORIGINAL condition. Please note: There is a new window glass for driver's door, both sun visors and turn signal harness, INCLUDED. ( SEE PIC) Also included factory cigarette lighter.
