Vehicle Detail
Thank you for looking at our classic 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V. We believe that this is 1 of 800 cars built. The car has only 66,000 miles (actual). This car had 63,000 miles in 1976, and it has only been driven 3,000 miles since then, but it has been driven and used so that you can get in it and drive it without worrying about it breaking down. The engine and transmission are in great shape. It steers straight down the road for a big, heavy, long car. The brakes stop well, but eventually they could be checked out a little bit better. We’re a wholesale dealer and I took this car in for a minor touch-up, and the paint guy called me back a week later and said “You’re asking us to touch up one spot on each door or fender on this car.” So, I ended up spending $6,000.00 on painting the whole car, and boy does it look nice! Anybody who wants to be driving around a beautiful American car from yesteryear has to love this one. This car has the original interior which is in great shape along with the headliner. When you’re looking in the front and back seats, take a good look at all of the chrome, because it shines almost or as nice as it did when the car was built in 1960. This car has 100% complete air conditioning, but we haven’t even tried to turn it on. After you purchase this car, if you feel that you want to get the air working, you shouldn’t have much to do. The radio, wipers, horn, lights, heat, and power seats all work. This car has 7 power windows. Both vent and passenger windows work, but sometimes the passenger windows need a little help. However, the rear windows work perfectly, and the driver’s and rear window on driver’s side do nothing. Please check out the trunk to see how clean it is. Then you need to go check out the motor compartment, because this is how I bought the car. I did not touch that motor, and not only does it run like new, it looks like new, and the whole motor compartment is very clean. We took pictures of underneath the car that show how good of condition it’s in for being 53 years old. This car is 19 and a half feet long, and it rides fantastic. We are a wholesale dealer in Cleveland, and basically what we do is buy older cars, clean them up, and resell them. So, if you’d like to stop out, drive and inspect this vehicle in any way or make an offer, we would be more than happy to assist you in doing so. This is an as-is vehicle, which means that once you buy it, you own it with all faults (known or unknown). This is a no-reserve auction, which means that the last highest bidder when the auction is over will win the car. Every time you bid on the car keep in mind that you have an opportunity to be the owner, so your bid means something. We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. We need the car paid for within 3 days, either by cash or wire transfer, after the auction is over. We would like the car picked up from our lot within 7 days of auction ending. There will be a $100 paperwork fee added on to the final sale price of the vehicle. If you need a 30 Day Tag it’s $18.50. If we need to transfer your title (and not hand you your title) we will also have to collect the tax in your county if you live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, South Carolina or Washington. We will not pay any shipping fees, but we would be glad to assist your shipper in picking up your vehicle. If you have any questions, call Stan at 216-598-7011. Good luck bidding!
