Ok, re-listing my 1999 VW Beetle. The winning bidder of my auction was not a valid ebay member, so ebay cancelled the auction, and I have to start all over again. This car is being sold as is- no warranty. Vehicle is for parts or repair. I took the car into our mechanic, check engine light was on, at first he thought it needed an 02 sensor, upon further investigation he discovered that the wiring terminals are corroded in the electrical box, near the battery. ABS and brake light was on, he was able to re-wire them and get them to go out. His best guess is that there is a bad wiring connection, that is making the fuel pump dump extra fuel sometimes. Car always starts, runs and drives, just bogs out occasionally. Our local garage did not have time to fix the car, and I did not want to invest much into it, being that it is our back up vehicle, and I really don't need it anymore. This car is adult owned and driven and has been very well maintained. Recent tune up, and oil change, tires only have 10K miles on them, after market wheels were just put on this spring (steel wheels, and hub caps also included) Beetle is R-titled, it was a recovered theft 7 years ago or so. After being recovered, there was a dent in the roof, it was repaired, and repainted. The clear coat on the roof has failed. Roof needs to be sanded and repainted. Car has typical wear and tear considering it's age, interior needs a good cleaning, and the driver seat has one small burn hole. Up to now, this car has always been very reliable, if you have time for a project, it would be well worth fixing. Also, airbag light is on, has been on for years (common with Beetles) Feel free tro email me with any questions that you have. I would be happy to show you this car, before you bid. Car is road legal, so test driving is no problem.... Car looks nice, does have some scuffs and scratches, only rust I saw was on the edge of the hood were the paint chipped.
