I will make the ad short and to the point, this is a true 1967 242 GTO - not a clone – but not numbers matching, the car has undergone a complete off frame nut and bolt restoration, every single piece of this car has been touched, cleaned, repaired, replaced - the replacement parts have been either professionally reconditioned, purchased new, removed from 1 of many donor cars. Nothing has been over looked in this build. The body has been completely rebuilt and not patched - NO BONDO - just new metal, any and all bad metal has been cut out and replaced, and the majority of the sheet metal work was done with original sheet metal from our donor cars. The underside was stripped and base coat clear coat finish - shines like the top, the firewall has been smoothed and has a mirror shine finish. The frame was stripped to bare frame, sent out to be media blast then powder coat paint, the frame was then reconstructed with all new parts, the suspension was installed with new upper and lower control arms, springs, steering components, the rear-end has new upper and lower trailing arms, new springs. Driveline consist of a professionally built Pontiac 455 - backed with a Muncie M20 4 speed, and turning the wheels through a Eaton Posi 3.73 gear, and stopping all 4 corners with 4 wheel disc brakes. The entire driveline, frame assembly and components are all new top quality parts. The interior is a 1 of a kind interior taken from 2006 GTO interior, using the set of front and back seats, the seats where re-worked to give the best fit and to have the right combination of old school and old school muscle car, all interior is covered in quality leather, we detailed the seat backs with a special designed Pontiac Logo embroidered into the seat backs, custom built center console runs from the firewall to the back package tray, all door panels- read side panels and package tray have the flow of the same design. The trunk has been boxed out and carries the same theme.
