1989 Range Rover Classic99,720 Original MilesCarfax Certified / No Damage or Accident History Very nice, all original, Southern California Range Rover Classic with documented 99,700 original miles, verified through Carfax. Rare and desirable silver with dark grey leather interior. Paint is still very presentable and appears to be original, with some sunburn on the roof and door dings on passenger side, which might be removable. It really is too nice to re-paint, as this Range Rover has an exquisite patina. Interior Connolly leather is in clean, original and soft condition with some normal wear showing on the front seats. Original carpets are clean, have been protected with mats and Dynamat was installed under the carpets. This model year is also especially desirable for its solid 3.9 engine and lack of troublesome ABS as installed on later models. The new headliner needs a little re-gluing in a couple of spots, the high-end CD sound system has an aux jack for your MP3 player and the Range Rover also has a new Viper alarm. Later style wheels (94?) with excellent, quiet Goodyear Wrangler STs showing at least 80% remaining. Thule roof rack as pictured is included. Rebuilt radiator and new hoses and recent battery and alternator. New, correct black vinyl on rear roof pillars. New windshield and seal. Front end parts replaced as required, drives tight, quiet and solid and stops on a dime. Engine oil, transmission fluid and filter recently changed. A/C comes on but needs recharge. All windows, sunroof and power locks working, except tailgate lock which needs actuator, easy fix. No rust on tailgate. No fault codes on dash. Rear cargo cover not present. It's getting harder to find a clean, Southern California original, low mileage example that is ready to enjoy as is, or the perfect starting point for any level restoration. The original foam padding and springs are firm and in great condition. There are plenty of capable auto upholsterers who can do this kind of repair on both seats for $500 maximum. The originality of the Range Rover is a big part of its appeal and should be preserved. This Range Rover will turn 25 next year and eligible for inexpensive classic car insurance.
