Being sold at NO RESERVE! Extremely nice nearly original 1976 Suzuki RE5. Non original items are the mirrors and turn signals, and the radiator grill has been painted black. The chrome is as new, gauge faces are not faded, paint is very good to excellent for a 36 year old motorcycle.This RE5 runs perfectly. The electrics and charging system perform properly. The clutch action and transmission shifts as new. The radiator has been cleaned, the engine cooling system has been flushed, a new water pump impeller, seals and bearings have been replaced. A major service has just been completed. The bike has the original tool kit, owners manual, and factory service manual. This RE5 is ready to be ridden or shown. This motorcycle was in one of our customers collections since since 2007 and shows like it has always been stored indoors. This is a rare chance to own arguably one of the most interesting and somewhat rare Suzuki's from the 1970's. On Sep-18-12 at 20:15:20 PDT, seller added the following information: A very similar RE5 (listed as a 1975, but was actually a 1976) sold last week for $6988.00 on ebay and it did not run, and did not have a current title. This bike runs wonderfully, and has a current title and only 100 miles more than the previous sale. This motorcycle has been fully serviced. My company sponsors a bike night in Austin, Tx on Tuesday nights at Doc's Motor Works. I took it there tonight and a crowd of people were around it all evening.
