Vehicle Detail
For Sale: 1941 Ford ½ ton pickup w/ Canadian block engine and zephyr gears I have owned this pickup for the last almost 5 years Starts and stops and handles very well and drives very comfortably at highway speeds, does 65 mph very easily with a lot more to give without feeling pumped up or over reve’d. Engine is a Canadian block C69A engine (cast on engine block). Has recently added canister oil filter. Brand new rebuilt OEM 2 bolt duel point distributor w/red Mallory crab cap w/brass contacts. New plugs, plug wires and coil. Starts easily if started on regularly but if left to sit for long periods of time it needs to be primed at the carb with a little gas to help it pull gass up from the tank I had been planning to add a aux fuel pump to solve this minor problem but never got around to it but will include a good brand new 6volt easy to install fuel pump with the truck to the new owner for them to install. Transmission is recently rebuilt with original Zephyr gears and has a stainless steel swan shifter arm with a glass swirly ball knob. New clutch, flywheel and throwout bearing recently installed All brakes recently rebuilt and adjusted with new pads and cylinders and has a new rebuilt master cylinder, truck brakes and stops very well. Tires are in excellent condition. Installed posie lowering springs front and back, truck rides great, and while they are pretty new they have picked up a little surface rust and need to be wire brushed and repainted Replaced old friction shocks with pillar style shocks using old oem shock adapters for that vintage hot rod look and feel. Rear end recently had fluid change Just had gas tank pulled boiled out sealed and repainted and re-installed Apparently truck was originally a rare Florentine blue(maybe Venetian blue) color (kind off a teal blue/green looking color) but has since been painted a color that is sorta like that blue/green but looks more seafoamy. Paint job is solid but in old shape with typical small checks and occasional light rusty edge, bottom passenger side door has a few small bubbles in it and at sometime someone let the hood side score the fender a little on the passenger side right next to the body so theres a small scare about 2 inches long on top of the fender right next to hood. Chrome hood bullnose has some light pitting in it hard too see in the photos but it could use a rechrome otherwise fine for daily driver With what faults the trucks finnish has it is still very presentable and Still has its original teal blue sail, kicker and header panels. kicker panels well worn and header panels in pretty good condition considering how old they are. Underside of truck is in very good shape with only some mild light rust in a few spots The grill is in good solid shape but needs to be repainted black I think I have described the truck to the best of my ability; it is a good running enjoyable driver with some finish flaws and is sold as is. I am only selling due to my personal situation, have much time and money into it but its time to move it on to someone else. I may have some extra bits and pieces I bought but never used, (such as extra original gauges) if I can find them I will send them along with the truck.
