Vehicle Detail
I have a 1982 VW rabbit pickup truck LS with A/C. Some people call it a Caddy 98k original miles. It is a 1.7l gas truck NOT a diesel. It is complete-all gauges function properly most of the time. The gas guage is intermittent, the clock works. The odometer and speedometer work -however the cable is beginning to chirp down by the transmission, The cable will need to be replaced soon. No wrecks, straight southern truck. No rust rot -just a little surface rust on the undercarriage, The interior and dash in average condition. with the normal rabbit cracking. Original Plastic Wood trim hasn't been cut. The Kraco AM/FM radio and tape work. The two doors are solid.. The bed is in good condition. The tailgate is nice and straight, and closes well. The windshield has a crack- on the passenger side. The rear glass is good. The Truck has had LOTS of work! New paint! including stripping the roof, hood, front fenders. The brakes are good, it has a new battery, head gasket, new flex pipe for the exhaust, new hangers, good muffler- it sounds nice and quiet. The down pipe has a new O2 sensor, New computer, new wiring harness, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, Rebuilt fuel distributor, good exhaust, Wheels are in great shape- tires look good but are shot- they will hold air and are not dry rot but need to be replaced for any driving. The windows roll up and down. Original cloth seats. Driver seat is torn, but sits nice. Blue interior. The normal buckled door panels, and sagging headliner- its not too bad- but it is complete. It is a great solid truck for a really nice builder or runner. The A/C is working properly and has cooled all summer, however the clutch is starting to bind when engaged and roaring when it is not. The clutch or the compressor will need to be replaced soon. The bed has some bolt holes in the inside rail where the previous owner had a tool box. In the pictures. They have been filled but not sanded down. I was going to sand them down and put in a spray bedliner- just didn't get around to it. I have installed new shifter bushings. The only thing else that needs be addressed is the passenger side strut needs replacing before a long trip. The truck needs VERY little to be a great 35mpg daily driver! I do NOT have a title. GA does not require an title for a vehicle this old. It will be sold with a GA Bill of Sale only.
