Up for auction is a 1973 AMC Javelin that is the AMX model.It is in all original condition and was an older restore. The engine in it is the original AMC 360 motor that was previously rebuilt(not sure of specs or date)however it sounds like it has a cam in it.The engine starts easily with the turn of the key and runs great. It does have some nice aftermarket adds to the motor including a holley 4 barrel carburetor, an offenhauser intake and a msd&accel ignition box.The a/c on the car turns on but will probably need a recharge to work.The car has a cowl hood and has everything intact under the hood on the air filter housing for it.It seems as if the flapper for it may be frozen however but have not tried to do anything with it.The transmission in the car is an automatic 727 model trans.It shifts great in all gears and doesn't slip.The rearend on the car is an amc 20 not sure of the ratio.The interior for the car is also in really nice shape as it was redone a few years ago.The seats in the front and back have no rips or tears.The interior is complete and not missing any pieces, but could use a nice cleaning.The electronics and buttons work in the car,except the fuel gauge doesn't move(included in the sale is a nos sending unit)Also the gauges in the left panel do not move(oil pressure,voltage.I was told it may be a relay but havn't had a chance to look into it.The highbeam switch is also stuck on so the lights come on when you start the car but should be an easy fix with a new high beam switch.The car has an original tachometer in the car which works and also has a clock that works.I have replaced the door scuff plates with an early reproduction set but will include the original set with the car.The door panel vinyl has slighty peeled off but could be easily fixed.There is also a sound system in the car including a sony amp and kenwood electronics.The exterior shows no sign of accident or damage.The paint is in very good shape and has two small rust spots under the small driver side window.The left rear quarter is rusting and would need to be repaired and the right side has a small bubble under the paint.So both quarters will need a little bit of attention other then that the exterior is in nice shape.The trunk of the car is sold just showing some light rust that would clean up.Also there is the plastic backing behind the grille and on the passenger side it is cracked/hole on it from someone closing the hood with a can in it still.Picture shows the damage.All 4 tires hold air but are dry rotted and cracked.There is also a spare for the car.All the glass for the car is intact and do not see any cracks or chips.I drove the car a few times around the block and the brakes felt good and it stopped ok.The car has a clear NJ title.I have tried to describe the car as best I can but if you have any questions feel free to ask or you can also call me at 856 524 1783.I am willing to help you with shipping the car if needed,but the price does not include shipping and that is on you.On Sep-09-12 at 18:28:15 PDT, seller added the following information: There is no warranty on the car and it is sold as is so please ask questions or come look at it in person.ThanksOn Sep-10-12 at 04:21:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Would also like to mention that the car has a front spoiler,front disc and rear drum brakes.The previous owner also installed a front sway bar and the valvetrain from the pictures shows a roller rocker which is a noteable perfomance piece.ThanksOn Sep-13-12 at 16:10:31 PDT, seller added the following information: vin# is a3c798p155134 From the door tag info: Body code 025217 Mdel 7379-8 Tim 343s Paint E1
