Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass S. It has 96k miles however the title shows miles exempt due to age and Indiana's title rules. I bought this car earlier this year and it was a complete mess. Transmission was leaking, mice had ate through the seats, hoses, wiring and other areas. Rust was apart of every body panel on the car. I have since fixed or repaired everything I could do myself. It has a list of new parts and or upgrades. This would make a nice base for someone to finish or even a good parts car to restore something more valuable like a 442 or such. Interior--- Floor pans are solid as a rock with no rust holes any where and floor was Por-15. Carpet is new, however it is not glued down or trimmed yet as I wanted to show floor boards. Front and rear seats are in excellent condition, all original and have been stored for many years. Drivers seat has one small tear 1" in size on a threaded area. Barely noticible if at all. Sport wheel was installed it is not sticky and has some grain left on it. Dash is mint and has no cracks, fades, or anything missing from it. Comes with brand new headlinder and ear muffs and extra fabric for sun visors. Rear package tray was redone with new material. Had ABS plastic rear arms rest in replacement of metal arm rest. These rear rests always rust and in horrible shape. Plastic never rusts so I purchased a set of ABS plastics from an Ebay Auction. Interior door panels were in bad shape when I bought the car, I have used replacements in black to go with the car as well as 2 extra sets of rear seats. Rear glass was reinstalled and cleaned. Front glass has small crack in the glass on drivers side. None of the windows leak. Weather stripping on doors is new, along with roof rail, quarter glass weather stripping. I also have new window felts from PUI to be installed. All other glass on car is in excellent condition and windows crank up and down easily. Doors shut as if the car was brand new with one finger close. Trunk pans are decent but do have a couple small holes. The trunk was my next mission but ran out of time, money and desire to finish the car. I also have all the headliner bows and all interior trim with the car and as stated the headliner is brand new. Exterior---Front fenders are rust free from another Cutlass, rear quarters were welded in by a friend. Doors were solid and did not need any work outside of minor dents. Hood was replaced from another car but in good condition. Chrome inserts have some putting but still look nice. I have 2 sets of drip rail trim, 2 sets of rear window trim, 2 sets of front window trim. Car was a vinyl top car however it was removed. I did save all the pieces from the top including the curved rear pieces that they don't repop and are in excellent shape. Front grills are installed and in great shape have an extra set as well. Stone shield and head light surrounds are NOS and I have the originals in trunk. Have 4 stainless head ligh trim rings NOS. Trunk lid is off another car and in excellent shape. All the locks on the car are new, trunk and doors. The body of the car isn't the greatest. The guy who welded the rear quarters on did a good job welding but not the best job on fill and sand. This will need to be addressed. I'm sure a few small dents were missed here and there but I tried to get most when I was doing body work. I am no body man so don't expect a perfect car nor expect a frame off restoration for the price. Mechanics--- New Flowmaster super Thunder 40 series exhaust system from headers back. New Headman long tube headers and collectors. Dual exhaust crossmember. Transmission was gone through and cleared ok, new modulator valve, indent cable(kick down cable), shift kit and transmission seals. Motor was freshened up with new parts and all new gaskets sometime before I bought it. I found the receipts for all the work done to it in the glove box. Oldsmobile 350 Rocket Motor is tight, runs A1, timed right, doesn't over heat, no noises and runs good. I am not sure which rear end is in the car. The rear end makes no noise and the car floats on the interstate. Ball joints upper and lower are brand new. Tie rod ends are brand new. Shocks are brand new sensatracs front and monroe air on the rear. Brake system is completely brand new with lifetime warranty including Master Cylinder, Brake Booster, Rotors, Pads, Brake Hoses, inner and outer bearings and races, Calipers and Spindles were all bought new. The car was originally drum all the way around and I did the conversion from a 70 442. I kept all the original front drum parts and will be included. Really the only thing I used from the donor car was the Metering valve, backing plates, Meetering valve, and hose stays that bolt to frame. Everything else was ordered new for the car. Rear brakes are still drum however it has new drums, shoes and springs. Car is AC car and I have everything to put it back together. All the hoses are still installed on the car. Compressor works and is in trunk. Has new AC Drier, Acumulator and o-rings installed. Just install the compressor and recharge. Front and rear bumpers are repops however there not the super thin run of the mill repops. These are thicker than the average online repops. Oil was just changed as well as a full tune up was done. Have 2 sets of tail lights including housings. Tires on the car are BRAND NEW and have less than 200 miles on them. Balanced and mounted with all new stems. Rims could use a fresh coat of paint. Car leaks no fluids what so ever. Lots of extra parts in trunk. Trunk is completly filled with additional parts to install like wheel well trim, window trim, door handles, locks and other trim as the car is currently sitting in primer. Car can be driven away or hauled thats up to the buyer. I do require car be paid for within 7 days of close of auction with a 500.00 no refundable deposit paid at auctions end. This is in place to keep the buyer motivated so the car doesn't sit after auction for a month. I am willing to help where i can if the buyer is out of state and can't get the car within 7 days however it still must be paid in full. It is stored in doors and will continue to store in doors until it's picked up unless it's past the 7 days and then I will work something out with buyer. I do not deliver but I will drive it and meet the buyer if it's close to home but again, the car will need to be paid in full before it leaves my house. I have tried to cover everything I have done to the car or put on it. I have over 10k in receipts that WILL go with the car since it's warranty items. That gives you an idea of how much was put into this car in new parts alone. Receipts don't lie and parts for Oldsmobiles are expensive. Please do not expect a frame off restoration. I have set my reserve low and what I am asking could easily be made in parting this car out. I have included a picture of when I bought this car so you can see the amout of work I have completed. The image of it in primer in booth is as it sits now. CAR IS AS IS. I have this listed local and reserve the right to end listing at any time. I offer no warranty. I have listed this the best I can and as it currently sits. I have tried to cover every thing on the car.
