Fun-to-drive1994 Mercury Capri, most desirable of the 1991-1994 Capris, made in Australia with Mazda mechanicals (forerunner to the Miata, but front-wheel drive, and a back seat!) and an Italian body design. 1.6l inline DOHC 4-cylinder is peppy and will give you 30-33 mpg. Don't confuse this with the earlier Mustang-clone Capris, these are becoming classics. This one came from Georgia and has never seen winter, absolutely no rust and in very good condition. The miles are mostly highway due to my 75 mile commute, and the car is very well maintained and in excellent condition. Several years ago I had all the parking-lot dings, etc removed and a fresh coat of the factory magenta paint which is among the rarest colors put on, and 2 years ago I had a new top professionally installed. Tune-up recently as well as a new battery. The air blows ice-cold, cruise control and window and headlight motors all work properly, I'm not aware of any needed repairs, but she'll need a new pair of sneakers on the rear soon. The interior is in good condition, could benefit from a professional shampoo. When you drive her there's no indication of the high miles, suspension and shifting are tight, and I'm sure she's good for many more miles and lots of summer fun. You could view the car an hour south of Buffalo, or I could pick you up at the airport if you want to drive her home.
