Vehicle Detail
Vehicle is being relisted because the previous 2 winning bidders had 0 feedbacks and did not have the financing or funds available to purchase the vehicle, or even make a deposit. Up for sale is a very nice 1998 Mustang GT that I purchased earlier this year. I have a clear title in hand with no liens. The only reason I am selling it is because I have the opportunity to purchase a vintage 1966 Mustang that I have wanted for some time now from a neighbor. I purchased the 1998 Mustang GT from an avid Mustang collector earlier this year, and paid cash for it on the spot on the same day it was listed. I took it for a test drive and was sold immediately. The previous owner added several upgrades to it including Flow Master Muffler System, Spectre Cold Air Intake System, Smoked headlights and tail lights, and (very expensive $1500) 5-Star (Saleen effect) Chrome Rims. In addition to that, he had it professionally lowered and added a JVC KD-S48 Remote Control CD Player compatable with iPod & iPhone. The CD system changes neon-style colors at night and looks fantastic at night (it has the warranty card and all papers that came with it). It has the factory Mach 460 Stereo Speakers throughout. An Autocraft Silver Battery is installed. The AC blows out ice cold air. All power options on the seats work great and the power windows roll up and down very smooth and quick. The tires have approximately about 25K-30K tread left on them. It includes one universal key for the ignition, doors and trunk. I am not a professional Mustang mechanic or salesman in any way, but I would consider the car itself in nice shape for its age. It has the normal wear and tear on the inside and outside. There are a few normal chips and a ding or two on the paint as to be expected. The rear passenger side bumber has a scuff mark on it a few inches long, but is really only noticable up close. I would consider the interor to be in good shape. It is solid black carpet with black leather seats. Leather shows a little wear, but that is normal for a vehicle with this type of age on it. No cracks at all on the dash or arm rest. Other than that, I think the car looks fantastic. It has been parked under a carport and/or car cover most of the time since I purchased it. Occasionally, the "check engine" light will come on (since the first day I purchased it), which happens commonly for older Mustangs. Nonetheless, after I purchased the car, I had two different mechanics inspect it and hook it up to their diagnostic testers. Both told me the only thing it will eventually need is a tune up. I had it on the lift the same week I purchased it and they saw no signs of rust (I tried to take a picture of the undercarriage as best as possible). This is the rare yellow on black Mustang that is extremely hard to find in that year. I feel that the paint is in great shape for its age. It is a real head-turner on the road and when she starts up, people know you are coming. The system on it sounds great. I bought it on the spot the very first day it was advertised for sale, because I know how hard it is to find a late 90s Mustang in yellow! Would make a great addition to any family or Mustang collector!
