Factory 456 horse-power/472 lb-ft torque, NO traction control, made by the Porsche motor sports department; pretty much says it all; except this particular car has the Evolution Motorsports ECU program increasing hp to 525. This is a car for drivers who have control of their right foot, their reflexes and appreciate the challenge of balancing a Porsche on the edge. If you can keep your right foot under control, this can be a daily driver, but it really doesn’t deserve that. It is legal register and drive in 49 states. (Sorry California). Lightweight, no sunroof, racing gearbox,PCCB ceramic brakes, direct from the motorsports department at Weissach. With 0-60 time of under 4 seconds and top speed of 198, this was a supercar with a MSRP of $203,000 in 2002; now it’s a supercar at a fraction of that price. This particular car is a direct import from Porsche, equipped by the factory to comply with US EPA regulations; it has an EPA sticker and certification letter from EPA. Speedo in mph/odometer in miles and recent California smog check certificate, but it does not have California Air Resources Board (CARB) sticker. This car was imported 2002 to California, then spent rest of its life in NY and NJ. It’s 10 years old, but has than 15,000 miles; on track only once. I purchased from the third owner and have only driven it 800 highway and city miles. Ceramic brakes are in excellent condition; pads are new. I replaced one rear rotor. All four rotors are full thickness. Tires in great shape. No dents, no dings. While in NJ, a car backed into in parking lot which required new front bumper cover, but no other damage history. Paint is factory fresh and interior in great shape. The replaceable plastic front spoiler chin has minor wear; this car is low-low and has long front overhang. It does not have the stock seats; instead it has Recaros in black leather, power positioner and lumbar support. The louder stock GT2 exhaust has been replaced with quieter Porsche 996 turbo exhaust, but the stock exhaust comes with the car. Also includes an extra Porsche in-dash stereo. Car sold as-is. Title: clear. CarFax history clean. No accidents. Can be viewed by appointment in Los Angeles area. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Buyer pays for transport costs and sales tax. For reference, it cost $1850 to move it by covered transport from NJ to CA in March.
