1972 Super Beetle Sports Bug Inspired The GOOD: Stock 1600DP rebuilt in 2009, only had 36,000 original miles on it at the time. Have put about 10,000 miles on it since. Runs great. Daily driven, drove to Florida and back in 2010. Brand new heater boxes and exhaust. Puts out GREAT heat. Trans rebuilt in 2010 New rear axles. New pedal cluster and cables. New wheel bearings all around. Front end completely rebuilt with Topline parts: New bushings Topline lowering struts in the front Heavy duty sway bar Rebuilt steering box New Idler arm with brass fitting Brakes replaced in 2010 New upper strut mounts New Tie rods, and ball joints New control arm bushings Front end lowered 2.5", but can go lower Dual Fog Lights RARE Kamei front spoiler. Front seat padding replaced with foam in 2010. Added heated seats in driver and passenger seats. Sony Xplod Stereo system, 2 10" subs behind seat. Front speakers in kick panels, rear speakers in rear tray. New Tires in 2009 Headliner is perfect Passenger seat, and rear seat are perfect. Pans are SOLID Non VW Roof Rack Scat Shifter The list of new/replaced parts goes on and on... The BAD: Passenger side heater channel rotted out Passenger side rear quarter panel has rust bubbles Half dollar sized rust hole in drivers side fender well Rust bubbles on the hood Small hole in drivers side seat bottom Front Grill is bashed in, I bought it this way, but the spoiler covers it up.
