This is a rust free 1966 mustang convertible ready to be completed to your specifications. it has the 289 v8 engine in it as well as transmission. The 289 is the engine that came with the car and has been restored with edelbrock carbs aftermarket cam and msd ignition coil. This car was purchased 7 years ago with the idea to restore it completely to its former glory. When we received the vehicle it needed alot of work. We took the vehicle to be restored to an excellent body shop ran by a man who was an airplane mechanic for the military. Needless to say that when the car came out of the shop it was completely solid. undercarriage is brand new gas tank new. all doors and hood/trunks are aligned correctly and the car is basically 85 % completed. Engine was redone with the best aftermarket parts and car was driven promptly to ensure engine was running smoothly but the engine has 2 miles on it! it has not even been broken in.Since the car has been sitting for a while engine has not been started in about 3 years but is in new condition. NO INTERIOR PARTS come with the car. the convertible frame is there and in serviceable condition. No door panels seats carpet gauges etc. so please dont message asking if i have them cause i dont. dash is there.steering wheel is there. car has four old tires and rims and will need to be picked up/ arranged for transport by flatbed by whoever wins the auction. Car CANNOT be driven as is. car has new brakes / drums. trans new. The car needs prep, interior, convertible top, paint, rims and tires and small details. Completely SOLID body with no rust. Car has sat in garage for 5 years untouched due to lack of time and its a shame to see it sit there any longer. Keep in mind that number 1, this is a project car not a completed vehicle that needs a paint job. and number 2, this is a very rare car to find in this state of solidity. so please dont send me a message about how your "doing me a favor" by taking it off my hands for 5k. as is with everything in life, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately i no longer have the time for a project. Buyer is responsible for transport of the vehicle. Have clean title in hand.
