It was repainted correctly in a 3 stage paint and sparkle like a diamond in the sun. The chrome is in nice condition and the weld wheels give this truck a great look. The interior has been restored to stock condition and looks flawless. The dream behind this truck during the build was to create a truck that looked almost exactly as it did new in 1979 on the outside, but with a monster driveline and chassis. Under the hood sits a beautifully reworked 440 big block. During the build the cam was upgraded, MSD ignition was installed, and all parts and pieces were cleaned, polished, milled or restored. The motor fires right up, and runs perfectly and sounds like a monster. The transmission was upgraded to a TCI 727 transmission with a stall converter. This power plant meets the tires through the bullet proof Dana 60 rear, held in place by a ladder bar suspension. This truck is clearly not only beautiful, but is ready to hit the open road. The new owner should feel comfortable driving this truck anywhere.
