Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1973.5 Porsche 911 T with cis fuel injection. 2.4 liter number's matching engine with 5 speed. I have owned the car over 13 years, am at least the 3rd owner, and belive the mileage to be correct at 115k miles. I bought the car with 106k miles and haven't driven it too much over the years. It has been stored mainly in an aircraft hanger when not used. The car was originally from California and has no rust through. Even the battery boxes look good. The engine runs a little lean until it warms up, then runs strong. It has the upgraded cam chain tensioners I am told. Steering is tight, brakes, good, clutch and trans work good. Tires are excellent Michellins. No known mechanical problems. Drive it home..or more fun, race it home! I have gotten 24 mpg on the road, even with the way I drive. I converted to 1 battery instead of two but kept the original hardware in case someone wants to go back to original. It could use some new strut that holds the hoods up. The air conditioning is not hooked up and there is no compressor in the car, but I still have the old compressor. The rear window defrost does not work, as I remember. The headliner is a little stained in the rear, near the back window. Glass is good. The seats are in excellent condition, front and rear. The dash is nice. The carpet looks nice but is a cheap relacement of the original. It has an Alpine CD head unit. The map pockets were removed for speaker placement, but I still have them. The car was originally blue but was repainted red by the previous owner. It's a nice paint job and is presentable, but it does have some blemishes after all the years. I think the car was on a lift with the door open at some shop and it came down on something causing a small dent under the passenger door. The car has been lowered and blacked out at some point. No chrome on the exterior. The air dam is metal. Has original tool kit. Overall it's a nice car and a blast to drive. It wouldn't take much to take it back to original. I'll try to answer any questions the best I can but although I have owned this car for this long I don't know too much about Porsches. I can email pictures of any part of the car you might like to see and inspections are welcome. I have a clear title in hand and car will be released to winning bidder upon clearing of certified funds.
