Vehicle Detail

Austin A55 Pickup(I've been told that this is a 1957 A55 but I am not certain) NO RESERVE With Parts Car I bought this little truck about 12 years ago with the intention of turning it into a hot rod... never happened... These are rare as can be in England let alone North America, when I saw it I had to have it. I wanted to do a V8 conversion and after doing some research I discovered that the 6 cyl. sedan had a longer front end by several inches. Needing the extra space for the V8 I located a good sedan parts car with the longer nose. I have a large collection of cars and have decided to sell the property that my storage building is located on. With this in mind I need to sell 10-12 cars that I will not be able to store any longer, these are two of them. The Pickup History: I believe it was sold new in Vancouver Canada at Healey Motors and was used as a work truck for a furniture repair company for many years. It found its way to Calgary where I bought it off an old collector and brought it back to the interior of British Columbia. It was yellow and black when I bought it, and I lent it to a friend with a flower shop who painted it blue black and used it for a display in front of the store for a while. Condition: It seems to be complete, with minimal rust for its age, it has the expected bumps and bruises, I have never tried to start it as I had no interest in the engine. The interior is worn, the box is quite good. It rolls and steers but needs to be completely redone. The Parts Car Condition: This car is in surprisingly good condition, I bought it from a collector who needed the engine for a Healey he was working on. It has a higher trim level than the pickup with more chrome and a nicer grill and dash. Its an ideal parts car for a this project as it has more than what is needed for the pickup with very straight panels. Location: The Austins are located just outside Salmon Arm British Columbia about 5 hours from the US border. If it is purchased by an American I can help with shipping (at the buyer's expense) and documentation as I have done it several times and I am familiar with the process. It takes time to arrange the best shipping price so I will only get the cost for the winning bidder. I can store the cars at no charge until the end of September but at that point it must be picked up. Over All: The pickup is very very rare and combining the two cars would eliminate the searching and cost of locating those hard to get parts. Customized with a 350 the truck would be a blast to drive and show once completed. If thought there was any way I would get to this truck in the next few years I'd keep it but I just have too many ahead of it. I've decided to list it with a low staring price at no reserve hope for the best. I have a lot invested in the pair but realize that the economy has changed so lets see how they do. If your looking for a fun and rare project that won't cost more than your house when your done then this may be the truck for you. I'm taking a big risk offering it unreserved so you may get lucky and get it well below market value. Inspectons: I have described the vehicles as best I can but encourage you to come and see them for yourself or arrange to have a local mechanic look at them for you, however any inspection must be done before the end of the auction. Payment: NO EXCEPTIONS payment must be made within 5 days of the close of the auction. I prefer bank to bank wire transfer but an official bank check or cash in person is fine. **********************************************Scammers: I have heard every con job in the book don't waste my time it won't work!******************************************************* Contact me: (Bruce) at bsingbeil@msn.com or 1-250-515-1110 Good Luck and Thanks For Looking
