this is my 1981 380 sl mercedes convertible project car, the history is the car is rust free from south carolina and was in a used car lot when the original engine had caught fire 5 years ago and ruined the engine and the aluminum hood, alot of the vacume lines and the plastic bottles were damaged, I collected all the new bottles and plastic stuff for under the hood , i put a 1977 450 sel motor and trans in it ( 87,000 miles on it) i got a used aluminum hood , the hood alone goes for over $1,000 used according to body panel crash book, it has been garaged for most of the 5 years I've had it, it does not run , and would need the engine wired and all the hoses and all the vacume lines connected , I have a new soft top for it , interior has no rips and the dash pad has no cracks (very rare !) tires are good and the rims are not all pitted up . i also have the silver paint for the hood, I have way to many projects and something has to go, look at the pics and ask questions, thanks for looking.
