Do not bid unless you plan ti pay, Thanks*** For sale is a 1965 Hipo (High Performance) 289 K code Mustang. This car is numbers matching! The car was restored about 10 years ago, and has a nice base coat clear coat black paint job on it. The car is very straight and will show very well. In the restoration, the color was changed from white to black on the outside, and the interior was changed from blue to red. This car does run and drive very well. When this car was restored, the previous owner added the GT options on to the car. It is originally a non GT Body, the drivers side quarter skin has been replaces, the drivers door and fender. The passenger side has had a lower quarter patch put on it. The rear frame rail have had the the last 8 inches replaced with a rail kit a long with the trunk floor drop offs. The floors in this car are original metal. The interior was reupholstered in red when the car was restored. The interior is done very nice, and is in great shape. For the motor and trans. The VIN is clearly stamped on the bottom of the transmission, and the above the oil pan on the block. This car retains its original Hipo correct parts: Transmission HEH-T Carburetor C4OF-AL Fan 911960 SC-J64 Hipo Heads have a 20 cast on the corners Block Date Code 5A4 Intake Date Code 5A5 Rearend is an open 3.50 gear The car does have its 9 inch rear axle with correct pinion support and pinion snubber. The front of the car has Disc Brakes and correctly detailed control arms. The underside of the car is painted black. The original door tag was lost during the restoration, however, the original information was typed into the mustang decoder site and printed off during the restoration.
