No Reserve!! Bid and win. 1983 Mercedes 380SEL. In very good basic shape but needs mechanical work. This was my late mom's car and has been in storage for about 7 years.It has been driven in that time and has been started regularly. It starts right up but needs valve guides as it smokes a great deal on start up. The car looks good with two small door dings and two small rust spots as shown in pictures. Also has paint scuff on right side. Interior is in great shape, seams split on top of rear seat at center seams. Well taken care of for it's whole life. Just got old. Pick up only in eastern Iowa. On Aug-19-12 at 09:20:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi, I recently did an oil change using Mobil 1 and an oil additive. The car smoked less this morning, once i got it warmed up and after driving. I am letting it sit and will start it and run it again in a few hours. I started it and did about 5 miles of in town driving and then 25 miles at highway speed. There is still some noise in the power steering, but it does work. The car ran well. The AC does not cool, but all power windows and the sunroof work fine. There is a slow leak in one tire that allows it to go flat overnight. Please feel free to email any questions.
