this is a VERY SOLID 1965 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE SPORT COUPE. this is a running project that starts up first time and yard drives just fine. it has been sitting and though it does have brakes enough to drive around the block or onto a trailer it will need to have them checked over and at least bled before you can really drive it per se. the transmission shifts great and the power steering works great as this big old sled just floats down the road. GM really did rule in the mid sixties in my opinion!! it has an almost NEW DUAL EXHAUST that just sounds fantastic. we all know that the floors and trunk on these cars just rust out to nothing. not with this car! the floor pans are super solid and so is the trunk floor. the front lip of the hood is perfect and so is the leading edge of the trunk lid, see close ups. the area all around the trunk opening that the lid closes down on to is perfect and i think the rubber gasket is new. someone glued the carpet down in the trunk years ago but when you get under there its just solid as can be. the inner front fenders are solid as a rock and the right angle lip where the outer fender bolts to the inner fender is perfect. the hood hinges work perfect also. the gas is stale and the old girl smokes and loads up when idling, and there is still at least 8 or 10 gallons of stale gas in the tank. it is one big gas tank but it does really need to come out to be cleaned and get all that junk out of it. the right front tire bleeds down after about a week or so and the battery is not the greatest but the old girl sure fires up easy enough, even with that nasty gas in the tank. ebay have changed the way you can list the title situation of the car. i would have put 'OTHER' but that option is no longer available and you HAVE to put something. i put clear because none of the other options apply. i have been told there is a title but as yet i have not seen it. please understand that if you buy the car as it stands right now there is no title. but if the title shows up i will be only too happy to mail it to the buyer immediately. see close up picture of the VIN plate.the windshield has a crack and the right door handle has been shaved so you can only open the right door from the inside. there was a dent behind the right door that someone fixed years ago and there is a quarter sized rust spot above the right fender skirt. there is a really weird rust spot on the roof by the right drip rail, its just in that one spot, see close up picture. some of my pictures were loaded sideways and i could not correct it, really annoying. sorry about that. the right door panel is missing but i do have the handles and the armrest, all in good shape. the dash pad needs recovering. there are some rivets through some of the lower moldings. we have had a few 65 an 66 full size pontiacs and when we have taken all the big moldings off of the lower parts of them there has always been bits of rust to deal with. leaves and trash get behind the moldings and once wet take ages to dry out. i am sure this car will be no exception. the car is presently LOCATED IN GREENVILLE SOUTH CAROLINA and can be picked up from there and anyone is more than welcome to stop by and check it out and drive it. i require FULL PAYMENT IN 7 DAYS, NO EXCEPTIONS. delivery may be possible depending on where you are located. email me for a quote or call my hubby on 864 616 6860. please call before 10 pm EST, thanks, beverly.
