1966 Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GT This is one of the desirable Step nose coupes. Here are a few details about the car. About four years ago, while warming up the car in the driveway, a fuel fitting broke on the output of the fuel pump, spraying gasoline on the fuse box and passenger fender well, and the car hesitated and caught fire. It was extinguished rapidly, but not before causing damage. The car is complete with its original 1600cc engine and transmission. The front suspension was completely rebuilt and has less than 2000 miles on the rebuilt parts. The engine is complete including a pair of good Weber DCOE 40 Carbs with new rubber shock mounts. The transmission shifts well, with the addition of Redline oil does not have the typical worn 2nd gear synchros. The glass is in good condition aside from the cracked windshield. The body is in good condition and will only require some repair to make it right. I originally worked with Mark Guinther of Portello Works, have most of the correspondence and receipts and the owners manual and receipts from the original owner. A rather nice paper trail. I have owned this car since 1999 and hate to see it go, but I am 66 and this is too much of a project for me to do well.
