You are looking at a 1974 Mercedes 240D Diesel with W115 Chassis. This car is a classic that can be driven today! This Benz gets around 38mpg and above and runs on Diesel fuel, it starts up on the first crank every time! It has a 4 speed automatic transmission and drives good. This would be an ideal car for local driving or to convert into a Vegie mobile, it already has a long range fuel tank in it! Exterior wise, you are looking at original paint! The car has rust spots and is need of exterior work but to be expected from a 37 year old original car. The bumpers and chrome are in very good shape overall. It has the original hubcaps. All glass is in good condition with no cracks and all window regulators work. Interior wise, it is all original. drivers seat, passenger seat and rear seat are very nice. Original carpeting is in good shape as well. Headliner looks great, dash is flawless. Speedometer reads accurate. All other gauges are working. Steering wheel is in good shape and the horn works. Wipers work and the heater blows warm air. AC compressor has been removed (for more hp) system are all intact but AC does not work (as ac compresser is missing can be bought on ebay for 120 dollars [york compressor]). All running lights work great. I have replaced the altinator, all hoses, rear tires. the cons to the car is it will need to be restored but drives great, i have taken it to orlando and back many times it will cruise on the highway at 70mph with no issue just takes a bit to get up to speed. Mechanically, I haven't had any problems with the car since I have owned it other than the alternator which I had replaced. The car has always started up the very first crank after glow plugs were warm. The transmission is a 4 speed and it shifts well.
