I am selling my 1990 Yugo GV. I’ve had the car for six years. I bought it off ebay from a seller in Iowa. I am selling the car just because I’m ready to move on to another “toy” car project. This car is a head turner. I typically get remarks about it every time I drive it. There have been countless times when I’ve parked it and a crowd ends up gathering around it. As far as Yugos go this one is in rare great condition. I have invested around $6,000 to $7,000 in the car. It has a new paint job, new brakes, new ton of stuff underneath, . . . the list goes on and on. I have had the car regularly serviced at Cobb’s Car Care and have taken it to Donovan’s Auto and Tire for major work. If you live in Greater Cincinnati then you are aware of the excellent and high quality reputation of both of these establishments. As far as drawbacks: It needs a new muffler. I currently have the muffler propped up with cords. This is not an expensive fix. The passenger-side mirror needs to be reattached. The hatchback needs a key. The gas cap lock needs to be replaced. There is rust underneath. The radio and air conditioning do not work There is no body rust since I had it painted. For fun, I’ve festooned it with Communist / Yugoslavian / Marshall Tito bumper stickers as a joke. The car actually STILL has the original “Made in Yugoslavia” sticker next to the engine. I’ve also put a funny blurb from TIME Magazine’s 50 worst cars of all time in the window. The Yugo was listed as # 8. I’ve had lots of people request to get their picture taken with the car and people have left notes on the windshield expressing how the enjoyed looking at it. Please bid only if you are serious.
