Vehicle Detail
A 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra, with 6,664 original miles! This SVT Cobra is original The only replacement items on this clean, original Cobra is the battery, front struts (OEM Ford) and 4 original equipment Goodyear Gartorbacks. I also have 2 new spares that will go with the car along with dust cover and a couple nos trim items. I bought the car w/ 2000 miles in 1994. It's been in storage most of its life and always covered. I have 5 cars and have just run out of space to keep them all. Developed by Dearborn’s Special Vehicle Team, the 1993 Cobra packed a new higher-output Cobra 302 producing 234 horsepower, via special big-port “GT40” heads, tuned runner intake manifold, revised cam and other muscle building measures. Torque, a stout 285 pound-feet, was channeled through a beefier Borg Warners T-5 five speed manual gearbox, and corralled in corners by sticky 245/45ZR17 Goodyear Eagle performance radials. The drivetrain in this Cobra is stone cold original and has never been touched or modified in any way! These Cobras were also built with rear disc brakes instead of drums, the first factory Mustang since the SVO to have them. Ford also touted “balanced” suspension tuning, using softer springs, shocks and bushing and a smaller front stabilizer bar versus the GT. The interior is basically a stock GT interior. Special trim included SVO tail lamps, handsome seven blade alloy wheels, a specific nose with small running-horse emblem, and a hefty rear spoiler. The performance on these Cobras was impressive for an early 1990’s car. According to Road & Track, 0-60 times were 5.9 seconds; with 14.5 seconds at 98 MPH in the standing quarter mile. With only 5000 of these Cobras built, it was indeed a rare Mustang for its time. With only 6,664 original miles, this Cobra is an investment grade car. The original body is unmolested, with no damage ever. The original factory paint looks great but does have some small cracks on the hood. The interior is pristine mint, with no flaws. The original spare is still in the trunk, and has never been used. If you have been thinking of adding a 1993 Cobra to your collection, you can’t go wrong with this low mileage, unmolested, great running original car. Please contact me with any questions.
