Up for bidding is a 1986 Honda CRX HF. According to the owners manual, this car was originally sold in Oakland CA and to my knowlage has spent its whole life in CA. I bought the car last January to use to commute to work because of the 50 mpg. The engine runs strong and the car was averaging 49mpg for my commute despite idling at 1100rpms, unfortunately, the transmission is now on its last leg. 5th gear is completely out and 1st, 2nd gears are rattling. The car still drives fine, but I'm guessing the tranny wont last long. Honestly, my mechanical expertise is in older fords and the rebuilding/replacing of the transmission is more than I have the desire to undertake. The bodywork is 95% complete, just needs a little more wet sanding, final seal coat and paint. The rear deck has new carpet atop a hinged plywood base for easy access to the spare. The window tint is ok(has a few wrinkles) and looks great from 10 feet. Drivers seat in good shape, passenger seat to be recovered (hence the seat covers). The only damage to the car is a cracked front windshield and a cracked front left turns signal lens (signal still functions). I installed a new cooling fan motor and cooling fan switch as that system was not functioning properly. I have a clear California title.
