You are bidding on a 2001 GMC Safari. We have owned this car since it had 10K miles on the odometer and it now has 208,000 miles. The car was driven gently by my wife and taken on a few vacation trips. It is in very good shape for a 2001 with 208K. We have always heavily maintained the car and I possess most of those records. Engine strong, shifts very smoothly, fairly new a/c compressor, good tires. This truck will take you anywhere today. Problems: Carpets could use shampooing in the front, my wife was a smoker, the A/C blows cold but the vents inside the dash are not functioning perfectly (I believe that this is a vacuum line issue), on initial movement it feels like one of the front wheel bearings is noisy.....after operating for a few miles the noise subsides. I would not be surprised if it could use new front wheel bearings. The right front seatbelt is stuck (the one thing that made my wife say, "get me a new car") Finally, the rear hatch release is a little sticky. Overall, this is a good truck. I am have a $1800 reserve on the van. After all of the maintenance we have done, I believe this GMC van (which has been a very dependable vehicle) could last another 100K with some fairly minor work. After over 10 years, I owed my wife a new car which is what she now drives.
