1979 Mercedes 450 SEL Purchased used in 1989, our 1979 Mercedes 450 SEL is ready for a new home. Although our car has minor issues, it is ready to be driven daily or as a weekend cruiser. Under the hood, the engine has been rebuilt with a new timing chain. Since rebuild, we have been too busy to drive much so we want to pass the car onto a new owner. Engine runs great with no knocks or ticks of any kind. Also, no leaks are noticeable under the vehicle. Inside, the car has a new A/C blower; however the A/C currently doesn’t work (might just need a recharge). Only two windows currently work, but should be an easy fix with new motors. The seats have custom covers in front to protect the leather, but all seating surfaces are in excellent condition. The wood on the dash is in great condition with no cracks or peals. The exterior is in excellent condition with minor paint fade since it has been in the Southern California sun all its life. All the chrome, however, has no fade and in perfect condition including all four matching wheels. We purchased this vehicle in 1989 with just around 90,000 miles. Currently, the odometer reads 140,000, but it is broken and we estimate current mileage is (please estimate mileage). Again, this car has a rebuilt motor including timing chain and is running great.
