Ford has always been know for their rugged line of trucks and SUVs, that is why people prefer the E-series Van when it comes passenger and cargo vans alike. This is the 1-Ton model and will handle what ever weight you might throw at it all while providing pelnty of pulling power for trailers. This particular van is very rare in that is had been oufitted with a 4WD system from the people at Quigley manufacturing. Quigley was one of the first converters to specialize in 4x4 conversions on exclusively vans. It is estimated that Quigley has converted over 15,000 vehicles and remains one of the only 4wd converts that can be ordered through any GM or Ford dealership in the country. Now over 40 years later, Quigley Motor Company is the oldest, largest and most successful manufacturer of high quality four-wheel-drive conversions for full sized vans and "cut-aways" in the world. For those of you who have always wanted a Sportsmobile, here is your chance to have a great start. Most of the RV components can be added or we can always send it down to Sportsmobile for any modifications. Or just imagine loading up with a few friends to go on an awesome ski trip. The kids would love to go to Boy Scout Camp in this rig! The options are endless! No matter if you need to haul a few or 12 passengers this Van will do it, this is the outdoor enthusiasts rig! Although this Van is NOT a 1Owner, it has been well cared for and it shows that both inside and out. This Van has been used in sunny and dry Southern California and has an incredibly clean under carriage and has NO rust or corrosion. All of the exterior is original and has NOT been wrecked or damaged. The interior is also very clean and shows no signs of abuse, no signs of smoking or pets, and no signs of fleet or commercial use. We installed a brand new set of 18x9 Falken Custom Black Aluminum Wheels and 295-70-18 Nitto Terra Grappler tires. With the Quigley lift of about 6inches, this is the perfect tire and wheel combination that does NOT rub or affect the ride quality. Inside we installed a brand new Pioneer Navigation head unit that works as a DVD player and monitor in addition to cranking out some good tunes. For the rear seat passengers we installed a 15in Flip-down screen that operates on its own DVD player or will integrate with the in-dash stereo. Lastly we felt a nice back-up camera was in order to make backing up or hooking up to a trailer a breeze. These are all brand new options and all options that should make this Van that much more desirable. We purchased this van from Ford a few weeks ago after they re-acquired the vehicle from the Second owner. When the second owner purchased the van they added a ESP(Extended Service Plan) from Ford that provided an addition warranty on the van from front to back. About a year ago the started having issues with the air conditioner and a EGR issue(Exhaust Gas Recirculation). EGR issues are all to common on the 6.0 Diesel and many people bypass the EGR and eliminate these issues. I have personally driven a 6.0 for the past 7 years and have only had isolated issues. Long idle times and stop and go traffic only add to the problem with the EGR as Carbon builds up on this valve. Much to my surprise and most Ford dealers I have consulted with, Ford was forced to repurchase the van due to these issues. Oddly enough Ford stated that they were unable to duplicate these issues and has now extended the warranty for an additional 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of retail purchase. When the van is sold to its new owner, we will submit your information to Ford to reinstate the warranty, however will will not be responsible for any delinquencies or complications that may arise from the warranty process. I would be willing to speculate that if the previous owner had not been in California, Ford would have never repurchased the van. I personally drove the van myself and it traveled from California to Texas all the while performing flawless. From Phoenix to Lubbock, about a 700 mile drive, I did pull a 24ft trailer through some rugged terrain and the van had more than enough power to make it over very steep passes. It was close to 80 degrees in some areas and the air conditioner cooled fine. I never had a seconds trouble and would jump in the van and travel anywhere in the country at a moments notice. We did have a Ford senior technician inspect the van and he found no issues at all. I am confident this was all unwarranted complaining. UPDATE...After a delay from Ford on the title, I ended up titling the truck in my name and it has a clean and clear Texas title, however ebay requires me to list the van as a buy back or lemon law title. The warranty start date was in July, I was waiting to receive the title from the State of Texas prior to offering for sale.
