trishzap Store Listed is an Original barn find 1954 Oldsmobile 88 2-door hardtop restoration project car. It has an Oldsmobile Rocket 4 barrel engine that does turn over. The body will need some work as shown in pictures. Rear & driver door windows are missing. Floor will need work. Doors open & close well. Majority of the trim is still on the car. A few extra parts are included in trunk. The car has a clear WY title. The car is sold as is, no warranties or returns. Any questions, feel free to contact me.On Aug-01-12 at 19:27:24 PDT, seller added the following information: After several questions about if the motor runs, I took some time to work on it. A knowledgeable eBayer informed me that the engine is a 303 Rocket & the tranny is a 4-Speed Hydromatic drive. Also, the Model is a Super 88, not a Delta. I went & changed the oil, could not get gas to the carb through the fuel pump (?) so I hooked up a low pressure 12V pump in line to the carb out of my gas can. Primed the carb & she fired up. It idles smooth at 35 PSI oil pressure. It didn't smoke or knock. The carb will need rebuilt. You need to slowly accelerate the throttle or it will stall. The tranny goes in both forward & reverse. I could not drive it, no brakes, & hard with gas can & pump set-up.On Aug-03-12 at 10:35:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry for the confusion - I believe the motor is a 324 Rocket. There were apparently 2 different motors that same year.
