1986 Suzuki Samurai JX 1.3L four cylinder with 160,956 miles. The passenger's side front fender is dented, driver's side door has a small dent, and there are some other small dents and small areas of rust. All exterior lights work except the left rear turn signal, probably needs a new bulb. Horn works. Soft top is in great condition. 4x4 works well, front axles have manual locking hubs. The four tires, size(255/70 R15), have good tread. Original spare tire Is on the tire carrier on the back. The engine cranks and runs well. It will need a muffler to pass inspection. This samurai has an ac compressor, but the belt is missing, I have not tried to put a belt on and test the ac. Previous owner said to keep check on the oil. I have only driven it a few miles since I brought it home in January of 2011. I had plans to use the transmission, transfer case, and both axles along with a 1.6TD VW diesel engine in a custom 4x4 Model A Ford Truck. I have decided to work on a later model ford truck with more leg room and these parts will not work for that project. This is a good samurai for someone looking to make a rock crawler, a hunting truck, or to use for parts for another project samurai. The vehicle has an inspection that expired in April of 2011, so it has been roadworthy within the last year or so. If you are looking for trailer queen this is not for you. FOLKS - I HAVE HAD A COUPLE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SAMURAI AND HERE ARE THE ANSWERS AND PICTURES. Someone asked about rust in the rocker panels below the doors. I never looked behind the plastic before today. The gentleman was correct about his assumption, there IS RUST IN BOTH ROCKER PANELS BELOW BOTH DOORS. The passenger side is worse than the drivers side and I pulled the carpet back to check the inside and found rusted through on passenger side, drivers side was ok. I have added 5 pictures, 2 each of the passenger and drivers side rocker panels and the rusted through floor panel. I apologize for not having this in the original description, I just never looked, my original purchase was for the drivetrain for the 4x4 Model A Truck I was going to build. On Jul-29-12 at 09:10:26 PDT, seller added the following information: My wife pointed out to me after reading the description that I did not mention that the PASSENGER SIDE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE IS MISSING. The door opens fine from the inside, there is just no handle to open the passenger door from the outside.
