1971 Convertible Volkswagen Karmann Ghia This is a great summer time car, or depending on your weather, a great anytime car to get around in. This is a car that's made to be driven and enjoyed. It's a VW so you don't feel too pretentious and parts are easily available should anything ever happen down the road. Always get a lot of compliments on this, even gotten a thumbs up from LAPD. So about the car, she's from 71', but looks like she's straight out of the 50's. It's a 71' model so it's got the glass rear window instead of plastic and last year before the gigantic tail lights. The convertible top isn't in great condition (see pictures). Front disc brakes, rear drum. Radio is removed, sorry you'll have to put your own in. Speedometer isn't working right now, I unplugged some things when I was messing around with the radio and can't figure out what I did. Some of the lights are out but the headlights and turn signals work. Odometer says 46,434 but I have no idea what the correct mileage is (eBay makes you enter a number so that is technically what is says). She's over 40 years old, so she's not brand new but ready to be driven around, freeways and streets. I can generally schedule visits and test drives M-F between 5:30pm-8:30pm, Saturday and Sunday I can try to work out a time with you. I also did a video on my phone of the car cruising down the freeway and also one so you can hear the engine idling. Let me know if you want to see it and I'll send it to you. I'd imagine cars would be the same, pretty inexpensive way to ship. I may be willing to drop off the car to the winner if you're not more than an hour away from Los Angeles, CA 90063 depending on the direction. Also, if you have won the auction and weren't able to make it to see the car before the auction ended, you can come check it out before you give your deposit to decide how much you really want it.
