For sale is my exemplary 2000 Saab 9-3 SE High Output Turbo Convertible 5-speed in beautiful Green Silver Mica with Warm Beige leather interior. This is a two-owner southwestern car that has been garaged throughout its life and never used as a primary vehicle. With only 64,000 original miles, it has been meticulously maintained and driven gently. I have preserved in a binder the original window sticker, owner manuals with Saab case, purchase paperwork, original California title (actual miles / no brands), and service records since its delivery new at Studio City SAAB on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, California. This includes the original lease agreement between the first owner and Saab, as well as documents detailing his purchase of the car from Saab at the end of the lease in 2002. The original purchase price was $43,750. All of these records, manuals, and documents will be provided to its new owner along with two keys and two remote control key fobs. The car is in excellent condition both inside and out with all accessories in proper functioning order. It has been gently and maturely driven, and properly serviced at appropriate intervals. There is no rust or corrosion on the car as it was garaged in Southern California by its first owner from 1999 through 2009 and garaged at my home in Arizona from 2009 through the present. I purchased the car from its original investment banker owner with 43,000 miles and have driven it 21,000 miles in the past three years. It has been a pleasant ownership experience. I am selling the car because I have a company car and would like to use the sale proceeds for other pursuits. There are no known mechanical problems with the car and I am confident that it has many years of reliable service in reserve for its new owner. The transmission and engine perform flawlessly with smooth and consistent power. This is the SE model with the more powerful HO (high output) turbocharged engine with 200 horsepower. It is very capable of both quick acceleration and also quiet low-rpm highway cruising. The engine does about 2500 RPM at 75 miles per hour. The exterior is simply beautiful with its Green Silver Mica paint showing excellent deep luster. It receives clay bar and wax treatment every six months. The black trim is shiny and supple having been garaged and consistently treated with Mother’s brand protectants. The black convertible top is in excellent condition with no tears or rips. It has a glass back and is fully automatic with electric motors powering the top up and down. It functions properly going in both directions. There are a few door dings and scratches, but nothing out of the ordinary for a car of this age and mileage. The photographs speak for themselves. The interior of the car is also in excellent condition. I and the previous owner are non-smokers so there are no unusual smells in the passenger cabin. The dashboard is uncracked and is protected by a custom dash mat. The carpets and floor mats are in excellent condition as shown in the photographs. The Sand Beige leather seating surfaces are also in good condition as shown in the photographs with only the driver seat showing minor wear typical of a car of this year and mileage. The plastic trim around the driver seat base is slightly loose and may need a new fastener. The SE model comes with all the high end options such as walnut instrument panel, leather wrapped steering wheel (excellent condition), leather gear shift knob, automatic climate control, dual multi function power seats with memory, cruise control, and onboard computer with many useful functions (such as distance to empty, ambient outside temperature, miles per gallon). The instrument panel gauges, automatic climate control air conditioning unit, onboard computer, power windows, power convertible top, stereo / cd player, and cruise control all function properly. The onboard climate control LED display on the center stack will occasionally miss a few pixels, but it does not affect readability. Beyond oil change and lubrications, service over the past 3 years includes: - scheduled replacement of serpentine belt with tensioner and pulley - new ABS brake control module - new hood struts - new throttle cable - new muffler - 4 new Yokohoma tires - new direct ignition cassette - precautionary replacement of radiator hose and reservoir coolant hoses and reseal cam plug - new valve cover gasket- new battery - professional ceramic window tinting - nitrogen in all tires for improved fuel economy Having all service records since new is important with a Saab because you do not want to touch one that you cannot confirm has been lovingly and properly maintained from new. It helps ensure future reliable service and a happy ownership experience. Please note that the vehicle history report shows one prior minor collision. The car was struck while stopped in traffic and was properly repaired at Lou Ehlers Cadillac Saab in Los Angeles. The repairs included replacement of rear and front bumper covers with factory parts, and repairs to left quarter panel – all totaling $4,300. The airbags did not deploy due to the minor nature of the impact. Just as with the mechanical service records, we have the full work order documenting every detail of the repairs by Saab. The paintwork is a perfect color blend and match. The car drives beautifully and straight without any potential problems one might be concerned of from a collision. I hold clear Arizona title in my name without any liens, encumbrances, or brands. It is a clear title with actual miles. The car currently has 64,100 miles and may have up to 500 more miles on the odometer by the time this auction ends. In summary, this is a fantastic and well documented car that has been lovingly maintained and cherished by me and its prior owner. Although I cannot provide a warranty as a private seller, you will have all service and ownership records from new to know that it has been properly cared for throughout its life.
